In the afternoon of November 15, 2013, Huaming Group and Shanghai Second Polytechnic University held a signing ceremony of Research and Collaborative workstation in the headquarter of HM. Putuo District Science and Technology Commission Director Wu Tieyan, Putuo District Development and Reform Commission Industry Research Department Chief Dai Yaoyan,Shanghai Second Polytechnic University Vice-president Qu Zhihao along with HM Group President Xiao Yi and related personnel attended the opening ceremony.

In the opening ceremony, Vice president Qu Zhihao and President Xiao Yi made the speech on behalf of both sides. Vice President Qu Zhihao first thanks to pany for the efforts and contributions to establish relations of industry-study-research cooperation by both sides. He express the hope that through the established Research and Collaborative workstation cooperation platform, it can bring into play a synergy innovation and complementary role between universities and enterprises, promote the industrialization of the achievements in scientific research, and can also play an important role in promoting joint cultivation of undergraduate teaching and master of Engineering. President Xiao Yi also expressed that he is looking forward to further and deeper cooperation with Shanghai Second Polytechnic University, he hopes that Research and Collaborative workstation will play a role as a bridge and platform, take advantage of school resources to strengthen the R&D capability of enterprises, promote the sustainable development of enterprise technology innovation and continuously improve the personnel quality of technical teams.
 
Subsequently, director of workstation jointly by school and enterprise briefly introduced project cooperation situation and project cooperation achievements respectively. Vice president Qu Zhihao and President Xiao Yi signed the bilateral cooperation agreements. Together with Putuo District Science and Technology Commission Director Director Wu Tieyan and Development and Reform Commission leaders inaugurate for the Research and Collaborative workstation.

Finally, Putuo District Science and Technology Commission Director Wu Tieyan made a speech. He was the first to congratulate the successful establishment of Research and Collaborative workstation for long-term cooperation between the university and Huaming. He also hopes that the cooperation will form a pattern and as an example of industry-study-research cooperation for district government administration department to popularize. In addition, the cooperation of this nature will be given more support in policy.

Substantive cooperation between Huaming and Shanghai Second Polytechnic University began in 2009. During the period, Huaming signed a series of development contracts with school on switching waveform recording, video monitoring system, thermosetting epoxy resin waste recycling and other projects in the high voltage switch and achieved success. The next step both sides will further expand areas of cooperation and strengthen cooperation in personnel training, technology innovation and industrialization of scientific research achievement etc..
